This is one of the teachings of China 's great teacher Lao Tzu and which
has become a driving force that propels me to persistently work and
believe on my dreams . A leader should look up to the welfare of his
subordinates , putting into priority all aspects of their lives . As a
young child , I have dreamed of serving my fellowmen , leading them and
become a part of man 's technological quest and search for knowledge .
My passion for science and mathematics is intense and this motivated me
to excel in class since first grade . Unlike ordinary kids , I always
asked of the ``how ``and ``why ' of things and never hesitated to learn
and never stopped unless I got an answer . I wanted to be a part of man 's
history and quest for knowledge to provide my fellows and coming
generations with new , better and more applicable knowledge and changes .
I wanted to serve . I participated in various school activities and
science fairs to equip me towards reaching my aspirations and interact
in the community . I believe that the world would never be as it is today
without breakthroughs in the sciences and that science and mathematics
are the bridge towards a more progressive nation ! A good education is
the foundation of a successful citizenry ! I want to give back to our
nation the blessings it has bestowed to the all the citizens of America
by participating into research and in-depth studies . I want to be
America 's pride and deliver the nation to its ultimate goal of
excellence !
I am motivated to pursue my education at Thomas Jefferson High School
for Science and Technology and to undergo in its extensive and
challenging programs conducive to learning and development . I would like
the school to nurture me into becoming a wholesome individual with the
right knowledge necessary to serve and help my country and my
countrymen . With Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and
Technology , I am confident that I will grow into becoming a genuine
leader . I am determined to become one of America 's leaders with
knowledge and the heart and I am certain I would become one because
Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology caters to this
young child 's dream through its quality , competitive , extensive and
humanistic education and trainings . Young as I may be , but my dreams
