Choosing to be an architect is what I have dreamed of doing all my life. But when I chose my class schedule for this semester, I thought about other fields of study that relate to architecture. I found CRP 270: Forces Shaping the Metropolitan Environment. When looking at this class, it made me think of how it relates to architecture. For a city to grow, it needs buildings.

Since the introduction of the first computer, the search for computer architecture that is faster, smaller, and more efficient has been a constant goal of the computer industry. The first computers were large, heavy machines composed of thousands of vacuum tubes. The development of the transistor created the next evolution in computer architecture, the microchip.

New York City has been called "the greatest city in the world" numerous times by its own people and visitors to the city. New York is civilization's greatest world within a city. It gives the overpowering impression of being a magnet and mirror for all of humanity and all that humanity does. For a city so young, New York is home to number of architectural classics.

Identifying at least two characteristics of both open systems and interoperability. Discuss how the logistician will benefit from (the systems or the characteristics?). Be sure to address TOC (spell out) and logistics support planning.
An open system sets out to identify broadly accepted interfaces (generally best defined by formal consensus specifications and standards) early while addressing its system architecture.

Greek life was dominated by religion and so it is not surprising that the temples of ancient Greece were the biggest and most beautiful.They also had a political purpose as they were often built to celebrate civic power and pride, or offer thanksgiving to the patron deity of a city for success in war.
The Greeks developed three architectural systems, called orders, each with their own distinctive proportions and detailing. The Greek orders are: Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian

Do you consider something with a beating heart a living creature? A baby heart forms and starts beating in the fifth week of pregnancy; therefore, that would make abortion murder. The baby that is growing inside of the woman is depending on her, so when she makes the choice to end that baby's life, they are making the choice to murder another person. Someone that believes in the pro-choice theory would say that the decision is up to the woman, but the person with the pro-life theory would say that it is murder no matter what the situation. Most people consider it murder to kill a baby the day after it is born. Then why would it not be murder to kill it before it is born?

For much of their history, Australia’s major parties did not perceive a need to have ‘Aboriginal affairs’ policies, but this altered in the 1960s and 1970s as the Aboriginal interest came to occupy a more prominent position. The policies of recent major governments, those being the Australian Labor Party (ALP) and the Coalition, consisting of the Liberal Party and National Party, have changed drastically since the Federation of Australia. The approaches throughout history of these major parties will be discussed briefly in order to gain an understanding of the foundation of each party’s beliefs and platforms in regards to Aborigines. The main political issues facing Aborigines in society today will be identified, and subsequently the main political parties approach and policies will be distinguished in relation to each issue. Finally, recent policies and legislation introduced by the main political parties will be introduced and discussed.

Terrorism by definition is the ‘use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims’.

Think terrorism or terrorists and the picture that comes to mind is that of a hooded person brandishing an automatic AK47 or a Kalashnikov rifle and the background littered with bloodied bullet ridden bodies. Or, news headline, screaming of death and destruction, because of some fanatical suicide bomber. The word terrorism seems to have embodied itself in this cliché, which is definitely true in the conventional sense. But dig a little deeper and terrorism takes on a whole new garb, a disguise not very recognizable.

The Sistine Chapel ceiling is perhaps the most amazing painting of all time. It was finished by Michelangelo Buonarroti in 1512.(he started it in 1508.) He worked on the painting every day in the four year period. It was very difficult work. He would have to climb a scaffold and lay flat on his back 65 feet above the floor with paint dripping down on him.

The Video, The Day the Earth Shook, was about earthquakes and their effects. Specifically, the video dealt with the earthquakes of Kobe, Japan and North Ridge, a suburb of Los Angeles, California. The damage done in the two cities was compared and contrasted, and conclusions were drawn about the large difference in casualties in the aftermath of the earthquakes. There was also information regarding safety precautions that are being taken to prevent deaths and injuries in the future earthquakes.
