There are many difference and similarities between the higher education in China and the U.S.A. American education has its roots in the old world and it has been greatly respected throughout the history of the United States. Both in China and the U.S.A. there are different types of education. In the U.S.A. , higher education has altogether three functions: teaching, research and public service. Federal government in the U.S.A. influence education and attributes finally to its development, but it has no control over educational policies for the education within its boundary.
